Why people pick it

What you get

01

A display instead of a number pad

To the right of the main key block sits a 3.98-inch IPS touch display at 320 x 480. It holds the numpad, a calculator, lighting-mode switching and a simulated mouse — everything people usually keep a separate numpad and trackpad for. Through the companion client you can load JPG images and GIF animations onto it, so the keyboard doubles as a small information display.

02

Gasket mount, a PC plate and six layers

The slotted polycarbonate plate gives a soft, springy response, so keys bottom out without punching back into the fingers. The plate and PCB rest on gaskets, so the case does not pass vibration into the desk. Six layers sit inside: PO foam, a PET insulation sheet, a PORON pad under the switches, a PET sound-tuning film, PO foam under the sockets and a silicone base pad.

03

8,000 mAh from two cells

Two 4,000 mAh cells sit inside — twice the capacity of a typical wireless board in this class. The backlight and the display draw noticeably more power than usual, and that headroom is exactly what they need. It charges over USB-C, and in wired mode the keyboard works and charges at the same time.

Three connections and device switching

USB-C, a 2.4 GHz receiver and Bluetooth with three stored devices. The receiver does not get lost — it stores magnetically inside the case, next to the port. Windows and macOS modes are both supported, so one keyboard can serve a work PC, a laptop and a tablet, and the active connection is shown on the display.

Lighting and five colourways

Full-key RGB with 16.8 million colours, 20 presets and Music Rhythm 2.0 sound reactivity. The mode is picked straight on the display rather than through key combinations, and lighting effects can be imported and exported in the companion client. There are five colourways: Starry Night Black, Stellar Ocean Blue, Daybreak Red, Daybreak Blue and Cafe Latte Gray, with PBT keycaps in three different builds.

Questions

The short answers.

When is delivery expected?

Delivery is expected on 18 November 2026. A pre-order locks the price and your place in the batch; GEEKSHOP confirms the exact date.

What exactly does the display show?

The 3.98-inch display is a touch panel that acts as a function area: numpad, calculator, lighting-mode selection and a simulated mouse. Your own JPG images and GIF animations load onto it through the companion client. AULA notes specifically that the screen should not be touched while an image or GIF is uploading.

Is this a 99-key keyboard?

No. The 99 in the L99 name is a model number, not a key count. AULA describes the layout as 75% with a display function area and calls it a compact 80-key board, roughly 20% shorter than a full-size one. The touch display on the right takes over the role of the number pad.

How do Raindrop and Caramel Latte differ?

Both are linear, but tuned differently. Raindrop (fitted to Starry Night Black and Stellar Ocean Blue) has a POM stem, 45±10 gf initial force, 55±10 gf bottom-out, 1.8±0.4 mm actuation and 3.6±0.4 mm total travel. Caramel Latte (Daybreak Red, Daybreak Blue, Cafe Latte Gray) has a POK top housing and heavy factory lubrication, 45±8 gf initial force, 55±8 gf bottom-out, 2.0±0.4 mm actuation and 3.6±0.2 mm total travel. The board is fully hot-swap, so switches can be changed later without soldering.

How does the preorder work?

The L99 is available for preorder from 18 November 2026. Once a GEEKSHOP manager confirms the order, delivery takes about one month; the manager will agree the colourway, the switch type and the delivery method with you.
