Why people pick it

What you get

01

TKL: everything you need, nothing you do not

87 keys means the full F1–F12 row, the Insert/Home/PgUp cluster and dedicated arrows. Only the number pad is gone: AULA itself compares the F87 with a 108-key full-size board and treats the saved desk space as the point of the format. The case measures 365.9 mm wide and 139 mm deep. For games that is more room for wide mouse sweeps; for work it keeps every navigation and editing shortcut where you expect it.

02

Gasket mount, 1.2 mm slots and five damping layers

A 1.2 mm slot is cut into the PCB around every switch, giving the board local flex so keys bottom out softly instead of hitting a hard stop. The plate and PCB sit on gaskets rather than being screwed straight into the case. Inside there is PO foam, PE sound-absorbing cotton, an IXPE pad under the switches, a PET sound-tuning film and silicone under the sockets. The case does not ring, and each press sounds short and dense.

Seven switch types to choose from

The shipment covers Gray Wood V3 and V4, Nimbus V3, Crescent, Space Crystal, Matcha Latte and Kayhua Intelligent. AULA states that the F87 ships with factory-lubed switches and publishes figures for Gray Wood V3: linear, 40±3 gf of force, 1.5±0.3 mm pre-travel and 3.6±0.3 mm total travel. The board is fully hot-swap, so switches lift out with a puller and go back without a soldering iron — you can tune the sound and the force after the purchase.

Three modes and 3 ms of latency

USB-C, the 2.4 GHz receiver and Bluetooth let one keyboard serve a desktop and a laptop at once. The firmware is tuned so polling latency sits at 3 ms — in play the difference from the wired mode is not something you feel. The base version runs on a 4,000 mAh battery, while the side-printed and Contour colourways come with an 8,000 or 10,000 mAh cell.

AULA F87 in Sunset Coast: white case with light blue and orange keys

Twelve colourways, side-printed sets included

From the calm Glacier Blue and Sea Salt Blue to the high-contrast Thunder Black and Sunset Coast. A group of its own are the gradient sets with side printing: the legends sit on the side wall of the keycap, so the top stays clean and the RGB passes through unobstructed. The Contour option is a contour-line keycap set — wavy lines run across the top of each cap like a topographic map.

Questions

The short answers.

When is delivery expected?

Delivery is expected on 18 November 2026. A pre-order locks the price and your place in the batch; GEEKSHOP confirms the exact date.

How is the F87 different from the F87 Pro V2?

They are different models. The F87 is the base 87-key series with a gasket mount, a 4,000 mAh battery (8,000 or 10,000 mAh on selected colourways) and 3 ms firmware latency; AULA rates it at ≈22 h with the default lighting and ≈266 h with the lights off. The F87 Pro V2 is a separate, later line with its own colourways and switches, sold on GEEKSHOP as its own product.

Do all colourways have the same battery?

No. The base colourways carry a 4,000 mAh battery. The side-printed gradient sets (blue, purple, black-pink) and the Contour version come with 8,000 mAh, and the Kayhua Intelligent option with 10,000 mAh. The capacity is stated directly in the variant name.

Can I fit my own switches?

Yes — the board is fully hot-swap, so switches lift out with a puller and go back in without soldering. The 1.2 mm slotted PCB is built for repeated swaps, so you can tune the sound and the force later without replacing the keyboard.

How does the preorder work?

The F87 is available for preorder from 18 November 2026. Once a GEEKSHOP manager confirms the order, delivery takes about one month; the manager will agree the colourway, switch type, battery capacity and delivery method with you.
